Job Description:
The Workday Business Analyst position partners with functional area leads of the college to analyze current business practices and processes in Workday systems and how technology is or can be used to support those business practices and processes; recommends changes to improve efficiencies and implement best practices; creates reports for both internal and external consumption and coordinates state and federal reporting requirements; works with other business analysts to coordinate efforts in streamlining business processes and practices across functional areas; effectively communicates system or process changes to users with varying technical knowledge; implements new functionality in Workday as it becomes available; works with users to determine requirements and timelines for new functionality and the impact on current processes; responsible for quality assurance, creation of test scripts and testing execution; and works with other areas of IT, especially software developers, to achieve these goals. Reports to the Coordinator, Human Capital Management and Finance Solutions.
Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor's degree in systems science, computer science, software engineering, or a related field and experience as a computer programmer on large-scale computer systems in an online, multi-processing environment OR an unrelated two or four-year degree with two years minimum work experience as a computer systems analyst on large-scale computer systems in an on-line, multi-processing environment. Successful results of a criminal background check are required.
Preferred Qualifications: Prefer knowledge of Workday report writer software, knowledge of Accounting, Human Resources, and Payroll policies and procedures, including reporting to the federal government.
Under College policy, it is an employment eligibility requirement for an applicant to meet the requirements of § 435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations. Any person failing to meet the statute's requirements will be deemed not qualified to work in this position. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate as a condition of employment. Any person who fails to disclose any adverse information in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application will be disqualified.
SALARY RANGE: $40,000.00 - $47,000.00
